Trump’s Latest Comedy Routine: A Burqa Is Easier For Women Than Makeup

Donald Trump isn’t exactly known for subtlety — but now he’s actually making veiled references.

At a rally Monday in New Hampshire, Trump railed against the intake of refugees from the Middle East, and the whole notion that America could even try to improve the lives of people over there. The Donald argued that maybe some people “don’t want freedom” — women, for instance, might prefer wearing a burqa instead of having to worry about putting on makeup.

“We want to give people freedom? We’re not gonna have our own freedom pretty soon, if we keep doing this,” Trump said. “We’re not gonna have our own freedom — they don’t want freedom.

“It’s like, I saw somebody — I won’t even say, because it’s embarrassing — ‘We want it where the women don’t have to wear the you-know-what,” The Donald explained, making a gesture of covering his face with a full veil — apparently not caring to remember the proper word as he spoke off the cuff. “And then I said — oh well, that makes sense, that’s nice. Then I saw women interviewed. They said, ‘We want to wear them — we’ve worn them for a thousand years, why would anybody tell us not to?’

“They want to! What the hell are we getting involved for?! Fact is, it’s easier — you don’t have to put on makeup. Look how beautiful everyone looks. Wouldn’t it be easier, wah, right? Wouldn’t that be easy? I tell you, if I was a woman, I don’t want to — wah, I’m ready, darling, let’s go. It’s true!

“The reason I won’t mention the person’s name — because it was a Republican. But the Democrats feel the same way. They want democracy! Democracy. We can’t have it anymore. We have to rebuild our country, we have to do things.”
